December Newsletter 2022

As we start to wrap up a fantastic year at Capel Sounds we would like to share some exciting announcements for the year 2023.

WEDNESDAY 14th DECEMBER Capel Sounds will host our end of the year celebration, open to all families. After missing out on the last 2 years, we are excited to host this event again.

We look forward to seeing everyone there.

With a sad heart, Capel Sounds would like to announce that after 13 years of Teaching and Educating children at Capel Sounds, our 4 Year-Old-Kindergarten Teacher and Educational Leader Jacki is moving on to a new chapter of her life. Jacki intends to hopefully one day make the giant move to Vietnam and teach English to local students.

Jacki will be sorely missed at Capel Sounds by both the team and families but we wish her all the best for her future endeavors .

TAHLIA

Capel Sounds Kindergarten is excited to announce one of our newest team members for 2023, Tahlia. Tahlia will be working in our Kinder 4 (Pelican Room) group in 2023 and will be bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience with her to Capel Sounds Kindergarten and we look forward to having her as part of the team. Welcome Tahlia.

Tahlia has written a little introduction for families:

Hello Capel Sounds Families,

My name is Tahlia, I am very excited to begin teaching at Capel Sounds Kindergarten and I look forward to working alongside Ling and all of the other wonderful educators at Capel Sounds.

I have been an Early Childhood Teacher for the last 6 years. I attended Monash University where I studied a Bachelor of Primary and Early Childhood Education. I LOVE working in the early years, I love children’s wild imaginations, their curiosity and their honesty. I believe that the experiences children have in their early years, sets the foundation for lifelong learning. Early childhood is such a happy place to be, it is a special time in a child’s life, it is a time of fun, laughter, friendships and learning.

I feel very lucky that I get to call the Mornington Peninsula my home and even more lucky that I grew up here. I have two beautiful children, Goldie and Jack. We enjoy spending our time being together, finding all the parks to play at, checking the waves at the beach, and showing Goldie and Jack all of the beauty the world has to offer. Watching them learn and grow together and from each other is my favourite thing to do!

I can't wait to get to know all of the wonderful children and families at Capel Sounds and look forward to working together to give your child the best start!

Tahlia

LING

Capel Sounds Kindergarten is also excited to announce another of our newest team members for 2023, Ling. Ling came highly recommended from a friend of Capel Sounds and we are very lucky that she agreed to join the team. Ling will be working along side Tahlia with the Kinder 4 (Pelican Room) group. We are looking forward to having Ling as part of the team at Capel Sounds. Welcome Ling.

Ling has written a little introduction for families:

Hello Capel Sounds Families,

My name is Ling and I am looking forward to joining the team at Capel Sounds Kindergarten. I have worked in the Early Childhood industry for over 11 and hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Business. I have worked in various positions within Exceeding council run services, including Educational and Care Leader of three and four-year-old rooms.

I love classical music, biking with my two children through the wetlands and walking/jogging along the beach at sunset. Each child is unique and we as early childhood teachers and educators need to scaffold their enquiry learning with a rich, fun, play-based environment.

I am excited to be part of the Capel Sounds team and to share your child's early learning journey with my passion, creativity, patience. organizational skills and strong subject knowledge in STEM, Literacy, Art and Music.

Ling

Capel Sounds also would like to say a Big THANK YOU to Emily and Kara who are also moving onto other adventures.

Emily and Kara both joined the Capel Sounds Kindergarten team this year and played an important role for the successful year.

We wish Emily and Kara all the best for their future endeavors.

Grandparents Morning Tea

On the 28th October Capel Sounds hosted Grandparents Morning Tea. It was such a lovely turn out on the day and a big thank you to all the Grandparents who came along for the morning. Unfortunately the weather did not make for an outside morning but was lovely to see all the Arts and Craft's the Grandparents got to do with their Grand Children.

Capel Sounds would like to thank all the families for your on-going support throughout the year. We are very lucky to have your support and input to help make the service an Exceeding service. After a tough few years in previous years we were lucky enough to re-open our doors to several events but we are most excited for our end of year celebration. We hope you can all make it and enjoy being apart of our Capel Sounds Family.

Capel Sounds Management would like to thank the Team here at Capel Sounds who makes coming to the service everyday wonderful and a great place to be.

At the end of the year we say goodbye to some families who are off to bigger and better things. Some of these families have been with the service for almost 10 years having multiple children come through our doors. Whether you have been here for one year or multiple years, we hope you have enjoyed your time at Capel Sounds and would like to thank you for being apart of our Family.

We look forward to a big year in 2023.
